Job Overview: We are seeking a Compliance & Legal Analyst to join our Legal & Compliance team. In this role, you will support corporate legal, regulatory compliance, governance, licensing, and audit activities across the organization. You will be responsible for maintaining critical compliance processes, conducting defined reviews and audits, and helping ensure the company meets its regulatory and legal obligations. This position offers significant exposure to compliance, licensing, corporate governance, audit, and legal operations, with opportunity for professional growth and advancement.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree, with relevant legal, compliance, or regulatory support experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn compliance, licensing, and learning management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records in a deadline-driven environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in mortgage lending, banking, financial services, or another regulated industry.
  • Exposure to legal operations, compliance programs, licensing administration, or corporate governance activities.
  • Data privacy, information security, or vendor management frameworks.
  • Coursework in legal, compliance, or regulatory affairs.
  • Experience leveraging AI and technology tools responsibly to improve efficiency and work product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain our compliance management systems, ensuring that important deadlines are met and compliance processes run smoothly.
  • Prepare and track our mortgage licenses, corporate entity registrations, and renewals across multiple states.
  • Conduct select internal audits and vendor reviews, and support quality control processes.
  • Coordinate compliance training logistics.
  • Draft department correspondence and management reports.
  • Research initiatives to prepare us to responsibly expand our client-first business model.
