About The Position

Responsible for supporting and maintaining the property’s compliance with all applicable federal, state, and gaming regulatory requirements, including Title 31, Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), licensing, audit coordination, and regulatory reporting. Assists with daily monitoring, periodic reviews, audit support, records management, and compliance tracking functions.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
  • Nevada Employee Gaming Registration is required.
  • Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs.
  • Fine finger manipulation.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of compliance, audit, accounting, gaming, or related experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Title 31, MICS, and gaming regulations preferred.
  • Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Alcohol Awareness Certification may be required for special events.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily regulatory updates, notices, and compliance communications from applicable gaming and government agencies.
  • Review surveillance, security, and operational reports for potential compliance concerns and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Maintain compliance-related records, filings, licenses, registrations, and supporting documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and company retention policies.
  • Coordinate and complete required regulatory filings, reports, and submissions within established deadlines.
  • Maintain employee compliance tracking, including onboarding, transfers, leaves of absence, licensing, training requirements, and system access reviews.
  • Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance reviews and audits as assigned, including internal control testing and reporting.
  • Conduct independent compliance reviews and statistical audits related to gaming operations and accounting controls.
  • Assist with external audits, regulatory examinations, and information requests by gathering, organizing, and providing requested documentation.
  • Maintain organized audit files, warehouse records, and compliance documentation to support operational and regulatory needs.
  • Coordinate and track compliance calendar activities, including monitoring completion status and performing periodic spot checks.
  • Collaborate with department leadership to identify, communicate, and resolve compliance-related issues or exceptions.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable gaming laws, regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and perform all duties in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests.
  • Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
  • Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
  • Regular predictable attendance is required.
