About The Position

Under general supervision of the Operations Manager, an individual in this capacity is responsible for assisting in the development of Safety Plans, Report on regulatory compliance, Permit Scheduled Work, Support Compliance Officer in the isolation of Operation and Auxiliary equipment with Plant Operations Personnel and Supervisors and Onsite Contractors.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of mathematics required in complex computations.
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Applications.
  • Knowledge of currently installed Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Knowledge of modern training safety practices and regulations
  • Field Experience in API Inspection Standards and guidelines for process piping
  • Ability apply specialist (technical) proficiencies to design and implement work practices and manage work flows safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain technical and administrative records, through word processing, CMMS systems and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and Contractors, while providing project support.
  • Must maintain at own expense home telephone or have access to a telephone.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent or Graduation and at least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in power generation Scheduling and Operational Processes.
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety Compliance
  • Experience in fundamentals, development, and implementation of various Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Emergency Management Program and Planning experience.

  • Must be available for overtime and weekend work as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Review outage reports, charts, and monthly reports to support the operations safety compliances and record keeping of servicing of operating equipment.
  • Assist in the development of all Safety Plan implementation for Hazardous Energy Isolation of Equipment based on scheduled maintenance outages, by the Compliance Officer.
  • Review Annual Testing Records for Online and Offline Testing of Production Generation Safety Systems and equipment.
  • Assist in the Implementation of Safety Programs required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
  • Assist Compliance Officer in review of Operational Compliance Training for hazardous energy isolation and rotating equipment, based on train-the-trainer courses.
  • Gather data for Compliance Officer review prior to testing of Plant Safety Control Systems based on manufacture recommendations or annual test results.
  • Work with Operation Shift Supervisor’s and Compliance Officer when schedule service of online generation equipment is being performed.
