About The Position

The Compliance Coordinator, working in collaboration with and in support of the firm’s strategic initiatives, supports the firm’s Office of General Counsel ("OGC") by providing administrative coordination for several areas of firm compliance operations and risk management initiatives, including due diligence activities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated basic level of proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and database experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with paralegals, attorneys and internal clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention-to-detail necessary to manage high volume of complex data.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines.
  • The candidate for this position must be able to maintain confidentiality and discretion with regard to the work being managed, as well as an acute awareness of how information is shared with others.
  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product.
  • Successfully meet deadlines, expectations, and perform work duties as required.
  • Foster positive work relationships.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as (a) working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing; (b) participating in digital/virtual conference calls; (c) participating in meetings as needed.

  • Perform all other duties, tasks or projects as assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • Office experience in a law firm or other legal environment supporting paralegals and/or attorneys preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in organization and first level review of background checks for potential timekeeper candidates.
  • Track issues from identification through resolution.
  • Assist in monitoring attorney licensing compliance.
  • Review and research compliance requests from firm attorneys and business professionals.
  • Assist in creation and maintenance of databases.
  • Research public records using public websites.
  • Perform database research and data entry.
  • Compile and organize information from various internal firm sources to support OGC projects.
  • Assist with preparing a variety of documents, forms, charts, letters, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
