About The Position

Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Compliance/Trainer at Walton Academy for Growth and Change in DeFuniak Springs, FL. Walton Academy provides residential treatment to improve the lives of high-risk male youths (ages 13-19) through mental health and substance abuse services. They offer skills and opportunities in various fields such as Carpentry/Home Builders Institute, Sports, and Culinary Arts. The Compliance/Trainer works as a staff member of the management team and jointly with the Rite of Passage Program Director to accomplish licensing and corporate compliance at the ROP location. This role involves understanding and implementing all licensing requirements per state guidelines, attending integrated monitoring, conducting internal audits and follow-ups, overseeing the program CQI process, and supporting internal departments through policies and training to ensure compliance with regulations and ROP Policies. The position also maintains employee training files.

Requirements

  • Possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 4 years of experience in auditing and training OR a bachelor’s degree in related field and one year of experience in auditing and training.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical and TB test.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • Current or past compliance and/or training background is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Works jointly with the Rite of Passage Program Director to accomplish licensing and corporate compliance at the ROP location.
  • Understands and implements all licensing requirements per state guidelines.
  • Attends all integrated monitoring by the ROP Quality Assurance Team and licensing agencies.
  • Conducts quarterly internal standard audits with a subsequent follow up to ensure all employees are trained and aware of all licensing, state and federal regulations including PREA.
  • Conducts internal monitoring, auditing and periodic risk assessments to ensure all employees are trained and aware of all licensing, state and federal regulations including PREA.
  • Oversees the program CQI process.
  • Works with external agencies and supports internal departments through policies and training to ensure compliance of regulations and ROP Policies.
  • Maintains the employee training files.
