About The Position

A role in Corporate Compliance and Ethics means providing support and managing key compliance areas for Target including stores, distribution centers and at headquarters. You will also be a part of helping Target maintain a positive work environment by coordinating efforts in its Ethics office. As a Compliance Consultant you will manage areas of the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program to ensure Target remains in compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory obligations. This position will manage some of the daily aspects of the WIC program by developing relationships with internal and external partners to research, facilitate, and address issues with products and eligibility. In addition, this position will work on enhancing current program documentation and developing additional monitoring practices to ensure the systematic program procedures are working as designed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience supporting compliance programs
  • Ability to apply discretion and sensitivity while working with confidential information
  • Compliance Management System: Understands Compliance Management System, responsible for understanding program documentation, controls, monitoring for their area of focus.
  • Project Management: Sets objective for own work and provides support for programs and processes according to plans.
  • Process Mapping: Document process maps.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Identification of opportunities within processes.
  • Control Design: Ability to design a control and validate effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate meetings and build agendas. Collaborate on issues with partners to arrive at a solution. Internal stakeholders.
  • Automation: Identifies process improvements and automation. Strives for continuous improvement of their process. Automation tech understanding. Surfaces automation ideas for consideration.
  • Data Analysis/Trending: Collect and analyze data. Use data to id trends and root cause issues.
  • Change Management: Implements changes to processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Actively manage the issue resolution process by researching and responding to inquiries, violations, and other issues from regulatory agencies, stores, and CFT partners across the organization.
  • Establish and maintain extensive partnership with the Business Licensing and Merchandising to ensure new store applications and existing store reauthorizations are completed and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Collect information and partner with core merchandising teams on changes to the existing and future merchandise assortments to ensure they comply with current WIC requirements.
  • Identify relevant metrics and prepare regular reporting or presentations to department leadership to support decision making, influence process changes, and track request volume and program activities.
  • Enhancing current program documentation to ensure all existing and future elements of the program are effectively organized to help systematically sustain compliance.
  • Support store processes and routines related to the execution of the WIC and SNAP programs.
