About The Position

Perform regulatory compliance monitoring and testing assignments within TowneBank’s Corporate Compliance Monitoring & Testing Program to ensure processes across TowneBank and its affiliates (Towne) are operating in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Towne policy. The good-faith compensation range for this role is expected to be $58,000 to $75,000, based on the role, market, internal equity, and candidate qualifications.

Requirements

  • Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, an eye for detail, and computer proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple priorities, and demonstrate a track record of completing work in a timely and organized fashion.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience in banking or financial services compliance testing, risk management, or audit.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, risk management, or a related field; or a compliance-related certification
  • Experience with governance, risk, and compliance or auditing software.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure assigned regulatory compliance monitoring and testing assignments are completed in accordance with established department standards and within allotted timeframes.
  • Based on the work performed, work with the Compliance Assurance Manager to communicate results to management efficiently, promptly, and concisely.
  • Follow up on management’s corrective actions to reported regulatory findings.
  • Keep the Compliance Assurance Manager informed of the status, progress, and impediments regarding monitoring and testing assignments.
  • Research regulatory requirements relevant to monitoring and testing assignments using compliance resources such as laws, regulations, approved third-party resources, and Compliance colleagues.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of applicable consumer protection laws and regulations, business operations, and internal Compliance policies and procedures.
  • Support Towne as a subject matter expert in compliance monitoring and testing, upholding the highest standard of compliance, integrity, and professionalism both internally and externally.
  • Participate in department-level projects such as drafting or reviewing procedures and reports, risk assessments, and merger and acquisition-related testing as needed and assigned.
  • Obey all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.
