This role assists in improving, reinforcing, and maintaining a company safety culture. The Compliance Analyst performs reviews of all accidents, injuries, and incidents, ensuring compliance with company record-keeping standards. They collaborate with the safety review team to determine preventability and ensure role-appropriate corrective action is assigned, completed, and documented. The position involves creating management reports on accident/incident trends, assisting with claims reporting and document production, and writing policy and/or procedure documents as assigned. A key responsibility includes performing Hours of Service (49 CFR 395) auditing/monitoring and issuing corrective action. The role also involves cross-training to understand and perform all aspects of safety and compliance, including driver qualification, equipment management, contractor onboarding, driver training, independent contractor relations, IFTA/IRP, and adherence to government regulations and company policies. Audits of any safety or compliance area will be performed, with results reported to management. The Compliance Analyst coordinates a training plan and strategy, assigns and monitors driver/staff training completion, and maintains training records. They work closely with Safety and Compliance staff to provide safety expertise and develop/present training materials. This role acts as the primary point of notification and contact for terminals regarding accidents, injuries, or incidents. The position requires protecting confidential information and staying updated on job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, networking, and organizations. Other duties may be assigned.
