About The Position

A Compliance Analyst is needed within Corporate Compliance in order to design systems and analyze data in support of Compliance initiatives. The Compliance Technical Analyst reports to the SVP and Chief Compliance Officer and is a technical expert responsible for the collection, utilization, analysis, and interpretation of highly complex data in support of departmental and System decision-making. The Analyst will evaluate processes within Corporate Compliance and Audit and provide direction and support to continually improve both the efficiency and effectiveness of the office. All professional positions within Corporate Compliance are designed to fit into one of several levels according to the range of responsibilities and the level of discretion in responding to those responsibilities. Within each level positions may be evaluated differently according to the complexity of the risk encompassed within their areas of designated responsibility or range of professional disciplines and the expertise they assume as the primary responsible party for the compliance function. The Analyst is responsible for independently assessing, developing and implementing programs and projects for delegated areas of responsibility to support AMC Corporate Compliance Program and to enhance the capacity of Corporate Compliance to fulfill its function and add increasing value to the mission and goals of the Albany Med Health System.

Requirements

  • B.A or equivalent technical degree/certification necessary to prepare a person to practice professionally with some professional experience.
  • A record of professional experience reflecting a record of increasing responsibility and performance may be substituted for similar educational preparation at a ratio of 1.5 years of professional experience for 1 year of educational experience.
  • Access to information is based on a “need to know” and is the minimum necessary to properly perform assigned duties.
  • Use or disclosure shall not exceed the minimum amount of information needed to accomplish an intended purpose.
  • Reasonable efforts, consistent with Albany Med Health System policies and standards, shall be made to ensure that information is adequately protected from unauthorized access and modification.

Responsibilities

  • Design systems and analyze data in support of Compliance initiatives.
  • Collect, utilize, analyze, and interpret highly complex data in support of departmental and System decision-making.
  • Evaluate processes within Corporate Compliance and Audit.
  • Provide direction and support to continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the office.
  • Independently assess, develop, and implement programs and projects for delegated areas of responsibility.
  • Support AMC Corporate Compliance Program.
  • Enhance the capacity of Corporate Compliance to fulfill its function and add increasing value to the mission and goals of the Albany Med Health System.
