About The Position

The Compliance Analyst will serve as the project manager for secondary market quality control (QC) audits, handling administrative tasks related to discrepancy resolution and maintaining QC audit reporting. This role involves ongoing communication with internal personnel and third parties to ensure timely processing and reporting for secondary market QC audits. The analyst will perform monthly or quarterly quality control reviews of HMDA data and act as a backup for initial monthly HMDA validation. Additionally, the position supports the Compliance Management Framework through monitoring activities, including gathering work papers, selecting samples, reviewing internal programs against regulatory requirements, identifying issues, making recommendations, and providing timely reporting and follow-up. The role also includes preparing and maintaining compliance lending reporting, categorizing consumer compliance topics, providing status updates to management, assisting with Compliance Committee preparation and minutes, utilizing compliance software, developing training materials, and revising policies and procedures. The analyst will also review and update project materials, build relationships with business units, prepare data for audits/examinations, support other staff, and travel as necessary. Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are required, along with performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years previous bank experience required
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, attention to detail, collaboration, and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to various work environments and project schedules
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with all levels of personnel
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Must work under minimal supervision and utilize available resources
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Must successfully pass background investigation according to company policy
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work effectively in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the project manager for secondary market quality control (QC) audits to include administrative tasks related to the resolution of discrepancies and maintenance of all QC audit reporting
  • Maintain ongoing and effective communication with First Community Mortgage personnel and related third parties to ensure timely processing and reporting for secondary market QC audits
  • Perform monthly or quarterly quality control reviews of HMDA data and serve as backup for initial monthly HMDA validation
  • Conduct monitoring to support the Compliance Management Framework, including but not limited to, gathering appropriate work papers, selecting samples, reviewing internal programs against regulatory requirements and identifying issues, making proper recommendations, and providing timely reporting and follow-up
  • Prepare and maintain compliance lending reporting to include weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
  • Maintain department reporting to categorize consumer compliance topics for which advisement/research has been provided, outside of monitoring projects
  • Provide timely status and reporting updates to designated manager
  • Assist with preparation of Compliance Committee; including development of meeting minutes
  • Successfully utilize all compliance software
  • Assist with developing business unit specific training materials
  • Assist with developing, maintaining and revising the Bank's compliance policies and procedures
  • Review, develop, and update materials for projects assigned by the applicable manager
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the business units
  • Prepare and compile data for applicable audits/examinations
  • Provide support to other staff members
  • Travel as necessary
