About The Position

Chinook High School is seeking a grade 9 Complexity Teacher to join their team and support their diverse community with a student first approach. The successful candidate will be an eager and enthusiastic educator who has experience working with students with complex needs, building relationships through a lens of Care, Curiosity, and Courage, collaborating, experimenting, and adjusting pedagogy, and building strong and authentic relationships with students and colleagues. This is a 1.00 FTE Interim position. Not open to current continuing contracted teachers within Lethbridge School Division. The expected start date is September 1, 2026. The competition will remain open until a suitable candidate is found. Applications received by August 28, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. will be assured of careful consideration.

  • Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain an Alberta Teaching Certificate.

  • Embodies the qualities of a reflective professional, actively engaging in ongoing professional learning aligned with Alberta's Teaching Quality Standard (TQS)
  • Demonstrates commitment to building and maintaining respectful, professional relationships within the school community
  • Values and actively participates in collaborative practice and teamwork with colleagues, students, and families
  • Contributes actively to school culture, student activities, and extracurricular programs while developing effective partnerships within the school and broader community
