About The Position

The SLP Clinic supports 5 unique neurology and mental health subspecialty programs, providing comprehensive care to patients experiencing first-time symptoms or those with longstanding diagnoses. The team includes providers, nurses, social workers, PharmD, and other healthcare professionals. The Complex Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating multiple services, acting as a single point of contact for patients, and managing physician schedules across various locations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years’ experience in a healthcare setting/practice completing scheduling and registration of appointments, templating schedules in Epic and providing administrative medical support
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling and coordinating multiple services including appointments, imaging, labs, procedures, surgeries, and treatments.
  • Collaborating with providers, clinic staff, schedulers across different departments, locations, and outside organizations to ensure services are timed, coordinated, and sequenced appropriately.
  • Serving as a single point of contact for coordinating appointments, procedures/surgeries, labs, imaging, or treatments.
  • Accurately navigating and translating complex service protocols, tools, standard work, and information to ensure appropriate services are delivered.
  • Following standard processes and workflows to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Preparing, managing, and updating the daily schedule/calendars for physicians who deliver care at different locations.
  • Reviewing and responding to patient messages sent to the Epic in-box or through MyChart.
