Complex Engine Assembly FAI Specialist

Verify•San Antonio, TX

About The Position

The Complex Engine Assembly FAI Specialist supports First Article Inspection (FAI) preparation for complex engine assemblies and subassemblies across existing and upcoming configurations. The role focuses on tracing requirements from drawings through manufacturing planning before assembly, ensuring that product characteristics are accounted for and FAI documentation is accurate, complete, and traceable. It involves reviewing linked drawings, specifications, parts lists, and operation sheets, and requires an understanding of how complex assemblies are manufactured. The position is onsite in San Antonio, Texas, and is a two-month contract. The listed compensation is $55–$60 per hour. The role is associated with first- and second-shift work; occasional swing shifts, second shifts, or weekends may be needed for assembly-floor FAI activities, approximately 10% of the assignment, without a recurring schedule. These hours do not apply to prework, and scheduling flexibility will be considered where feasible. The specialist works independently while coordinating with customer planning, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve ambiguities, confirm clarifications and approved updates, and keep records current. The role may also support assembly-floor FAI execution, linking advance documentation preparation with product verification.
