Complex Claims Analyst
About The Position
Metis/Risk Management Programs is a Roanoke-owned and operated company that provides third-party administrative services for self-insurance risk pools, operational support, and other solutions for Metis subsidiaries. The Complex Claims Analyst assists with the intake, setup, and maintenance of complex claims files; reviews and analyzes claim notices and supporting documentation for entry into RiskMaster and initial responses to reporting parties; reviews first-report documentation to make an initial determination of claim handling; and prepares routine correspondence and coverage letters for review by Legal Counsel. This is an in-office role five days per week. The listed duties are not comprehensive and may change.
Requirements
- College degree required.
- In-office attendance five days per week required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in insurance claims, legal administration, or a related support role.
- Experience in or exposure to large casualty claims.
Responsibilities
- Assist with intake, setup, and maintenance of complex claims files.
- Review, analyze, and distill information from claim notices and supporting documentation for entry into RiskMaster and for initial responses to reporting parties.
- Review first-report documentation to make an initial determination of claim handling.
- Prepare routine correspondence and coverage letters for review by Legal Counsel.
