About The Position

As the Complex Automobile Casualty Adjuster at Oncor, you are responsible for investigating, negotiating and resolving complex, high value automobile casualty claims from inception to resolution.

Requirements

Highly organized; ability to negotiate settlements and deal with confrontational situations in a professional and effective manner.
Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers.
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent and 7+ years of experience handling general liability and bodily injury claims of medium to high level of complexity/severity required.
Must currently possess a Texas drivers’ license.
Must currently possess a Texas Dept. of Insurance Adjuster’s License.

Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of automobile liability claims, including high severity property damage, bodily injury and multi-party losses.
Initiate and conduct thorough investigations to include taking recorded statements, determining liability, ordering police reports, speaking with witnesses and canvassing the area for surveillance footage.
Review vehicle estimates, evaluate medical records and bills manually, respond to attorney demands and property damage subrogation demands.
Negotiate and render a fair and reasonable settlement and attend mediations/trials if warranted.
Establish and maintain proper reserves for each claim based on the potential exposures.
Roundtable discussions with internal partners to include our Legal Department, for complex cases.
Respond to calls for emergency claims assistance and investigation on a 24 X 7 basis if warranted.
Maintain proper documentation of claims information to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
