About The Position

This role guides the successful completion of major engineering programs or conceives research in areas of considerable scope and complexity supporting the development and production of company products and services, particularly as related to the completions engineering of aircraft. The specialist will select appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues and will be consulted extensively by associates and others as a recognized authority within the field. The role involves anticipating and resolving complex issues in creative and effective ways, developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities. The approach to problem-solving balances technical product, cost, and schedule. The specialist will work without appreciable direction, with work reviewed from a long-range perspective for desired results, and will exercise latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments, making decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative. A key aspect of the role is maintaining current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields to recommend innovations that improve the quality and effectiveness of the company product. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field required.
  • Ten years of experience in job offered or related position in electrical wire routing design required.
  • Experience with performing as an electrical lead.
  • Experience with Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS).
  • Experience with CATIA V5.
  • Experience with Capital Logic.
  • Experience with Capital XC.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field, Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field and eight years of experience, or a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field and six years of experience.
  • Must have legal authority to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

  • Advanced degree in engineering, or related curriculum preferred.
