About The Position

Performs entry-level engineering work related to investigating and solving basic problems associated with the research, design, development, service, and manufacture of Gulfstream aircraft. Work is closely supervised and follows established procedures and methods. The position provides technical assistance to engineering staff and completes discrete engineering tasks on schedule. Failure to achieve results may cause delays in program schedules. The role requires the ability to communicate technical concepts in writing and verbally, and to read, write, speak, and understand English. Contacts are primarily with the direct supervisor, mentor, and other exempt professionals in the group or department. Most tasks are performed under general supervision.

The position is in Gulfstream's Completions Engineering organization in Savannah. Travel may be up to 25%. The position is full-time on the first shift. Gulfstream does not provide work visa sponsorship unless the applicant is a currently sponsored Gulfstream employee.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related curriculum, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the job's essential functions.
• Entry-level position requiring 0 to 18 months of experience.
• Ability to convey technical concepts in written and verbal formats.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related degree field.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to engineering staff and complete discrete engineering tasks on schedule.
• Apply engineering knowledge and company procedures to resolve routine issues.
• Analyze and evaluate project activity results.
• Prepare recommendations for changes and compile reports for department supervision.
• Identify discrepancies or problems in analysis or test results and work toward corrective action.
• Work to improve daily processes and ensure work meets customer requirements.
• Continue developing knowledge of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the assigned field.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
