Overview The primary duty of the Competitive Meet Technician is to assist Meet Tech Staff in set-up/tear-down for events and operating timing/judging equipment. This role pays an hourly rate of $15.00 to $17.00 Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. This position will remain open until November 6, 2026.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience supporting athletic events, competitions, event operations, or technical equipment is preferred but not required.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn and operate event timing and scoring systems.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures and accurately complete assigned tasks.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced event environment.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event days as needed.
Ability to lift, move, and transport event equipment as required.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff, athletes, officials, and guests.
Ability to remain focused and organized during live events where timing and accuracy are critical.

Responsibilities

Assist Meet Tech Staff with event setup, including placement and preparation of timing systems, judging equipment, and other event-related materials.
Support the operation and monitoring of timing and judging equipment during competitive events to ensure accurate event results.
Assist with event tear-down, including the removal, organization, and storage of equipment following competitions.
Perform equipment checks before, during, and after events to ensure systems are functioning properly and report any issues to appropriate staff.
Provide operational support to Meet Tech Staff and event personnel throughout competitions.
Assist with troubleshooting basic equipment or technical issues and communicate concerns to supervisors as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe event environment while following facility and event-specific procedures.
Ensure equipment is handled carefully and stored properly to support future events.
Provide support during a variety of competitions, including setup, event operations, and post-event breakdown activities.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
