About The Position

SentinelOne is seeking a Competitive Intelligence Manager to operate at the intersection of AI-powered workflows, strategic research, and sales enablement. This role is designed to build a program where intelligence is systematically generated, continuously updated, and deeply embedded into go-to-market teams' daily operations. Reporting to the Senior Director of Market Intelligence, the manager will own and evolve the Win/Loss program, build AI-assisted research and analysis workflows using tools like Claude, and serve as a key resource for Sales and Marketing. The CI function is investing in AI-native workflows, expanding into analyst relations, and building program infrastructure, offering significant scope for the role to shape the function's future.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, product marketing, strategy, or a related field, preferably within cybersecurity or enterprise SaaS.
  • Experience with or genuine interest in building a Win/Loss program, with the ability to articulate how to turn raw interview data into field-ready sales plays.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar) to accelerate research, synthesize information, and create structured outputs; comfort with prompt engineering.
  • Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, maintain quality, and hit deadlines.
  • Exceptional written communication skills; ability to produce clear, concise, and audience-appropriate deliverables.
  • A natural sense of curiosity and a disciplined approach to competitive intelligence.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build trust with Sales, Product, and Marketing stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and framing incomplete information clearly.
  • Aptitude to quickly learn the cybersecurity domain.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts (EDR, XDR, MDR, identity security) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Win/Loss program in partnership with a third-party interview vendor, overseeing program cadence, scope, and quality of deal coverage across Endpoint, Identity, and MDR segments.
  • Analyze and synthesize Win/Loss interview findings into clear competitive themes, patterns, and deal-level insights, identifying the business implications ('so what').
  • Translate Win/Loss themes into sales plays in collaboration with the Sales Enablement team to drive changes in how sellers handle objections, position against competitors, and navigate deal scenarios.
  • Deliver regular Win/Loss reporting to Sales leadership, Product, and Marketing, including trend analysis and competitive exposure signals.
  • Build and maintain AI-assisted research and analysis workflows using Claude and other tools to reduce manual effort in competitive monitoring and insight generation.
  • Develop reusable prompt frameworks for tasks such as competitor webpage differentiation analysis, product announcement summarization, and battlecard content generation.
  • Document and iterate on workflow templates to ensure CI outputs are scalable, repeatable, and accessible to cross-functional teams.
  • Stay current on AI tooling relevant to competitive intelligence and propose workflow improvements.
  • Own battlecard development, maintaining a current, accurate, and field-usable library.
  • Act as a real-time competitive resource for Sales and Sales Engineering during active deals.
  • Deliver competitive training and enablement sessions to field teams.
  • Serve as the human in the loop for AI-assisted content development, providing editorial judgment on AI-generated drafts.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape, tracking product releases, pricing shifts, messaging changes, and go-to-market movements.
  • Synthesize signals from multiple sources (analyst reports, earnings calls, social channels, customer conversations, industry events) into clear, prioritized intelligence.
  • Contribute to and maintain a centralized intelligence repository.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to align competitive positioning with broader messaging and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to surface competitive gaps and inform roadmap discussions.
  • Work across Marketing, Channel, and Partner teams to embed competitive intelligence in external-facing programs.
