About The Position

Dowagiac Union School District is seeking a Competitive Cheer Coach. This position requires a year-round commitment to the program and the ability to practice after school daily starting at 3:00 PM. The coach will be responsible for directing and working with a cohesive staff and establishing reasonable expectations for student-athlete performance and conduct.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to relate to young athletes and serve as a positive role model
• Experience working with multi-cultural and racially diverse student/athletes
• Outstanding communication abilities
• Ability to establish reasonable and consistent expectations for performance and conduct of students/athletes
• Willingness to make a year-round commitment to the program
• Demonstrated ability to direct and work with cohesive staff
• Ability to practice after school beginning at 3:00 PM each day
