Competency Advisor

iWorkforce Solutions LPHouston, TX
$28 - $32Hybrid

About The Position

We are seeking a highly communicative and adaptable professional to manage and administer workforce competence and training activities. This role is a 50/50 split between analyzing training data and actively coaching/explaining that data to management teams. The Competency Advisor will create, maintain, and update accurate compliance and competency training records in accordance with legislative and business requirements. This role involves monitoring system deadlines, evaluating training program effectiveness, analyzing competency trends, and providing logistical/administrative support for internal trainers. The position requires spending half of the time deep in data processing and software control, and the other half collaborating with, coaching, and assisting facility management. The Competency Advisor will also liaise with internal departments to define, arrange, and schedule training requirements, and act as an internal assessor or verifier to continually evaluate and improve the group's training development processes.

  • Strong team-player mentality tailored for a small, close-knit niche support team.
  • Stable tenure in previous work history (candidates with a history of job-hopping will not be considered).
  • Ability to travel domestically (CA, TX, LA) based on business demand.
  • Willingness to complete a two-round interview process, including a virtual first round where you must deliver a 10-minute presentation on a relevant professional topic of your choice.
  • Background check and drug screening.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Professional work background as a Training Coordinator, Learning Specialist, Teacher, Instructor, or Employee Development Specialist (ideal backgrounds lean toward education/training rather than traditional corporate HR).
