About The Position

This Compensation Specialist has primary accountability for the governance, execution, and continuous improvement of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive, equitable, compliant, and aligned with business priorities. The role independently manages compensation cycles, offer guidelines, benefits program design and oversight, and rewards analytics, applying professional judgment to balance talent attraction, internal equity, and cost effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Total Rewards, Compensation, and/or Benefits roles, with demonstrated ownership of programs, cycles, or governance activities
  • Extensive knowledge, and hands-on experience, of total rewards practices, including compensation philosophy, job architecture, market pricing, internal equity analysis, and pay transparency.
  • Familiarity with benefits and savings program design, renewals, vendor performance management, and cost analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of rewards‑related compliance requirements, including taxation, employment legislation, and reporting obligations.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design, governance, and ongoing evolution of total rewards programs, including compensation philosophy, job architecture, market benchmarking, internal equity, and pay transparency principles. Ensure frameworks are applied consistently and aligned with business strategy.
  • Lead the execution and governance of annual compensation cycles, including salary planning, promotions, and merit. Manage off-cycle compensation requests using established controls and provide sound, data-driven recommendations.
  • Deliver clear, analytical insights and recommendations to senior leaders to support compensation decisions, workforce planning, and cost management, translating complex data into actionable business guidance.
  • Design, document, and maintain offer-setting guardrails that balance market competitiveness, internal equity, affordability, and compliance.
  • Manage benefits and savings program designs to ensure cost effectiveness, competitive positioning, and a strong employee experience. Monitor vendor performance, evaluate plan design options, and support program changes and renewals.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax, regulatory, legislative and reporting requirements across total rewards programs.
