About The Position

Using discretion and judgment, provides compensation expertise, analysis, and consultation to support compensation programs and business needs across MFS. Serves as the primary point of contact for a broad range of compensation requests, including job leveling, market pricing, offers, and compensation-related inquiries. Partners closely with Compensation leadership and Senior Consultants to provide analysis, recommendations, and operational support that enable effective compensation decisions and program delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area.
  • 5-6 years of experience in compensation, financial analysis or closely related analytical discipline.
  • Strong understanding of compensation principles, including market pricing, job evaluation, compensation structures, and compensation administration.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and develop practical recommendations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and compensation-related analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of compensation regulations, job evaluation, and external benchmarking practices.
  • Experience with compensation and HRIS tools (e.g., Workday, MarketPay).
  • Experience providing consultative / center‑of‑expertise support (influencing without direct authority).

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary intake point for compensation requests, ensuring timely response, analysis, and resolution.
  • Provides consultation and recommendations on compensation matters, including job matching, job leveling, market pricing, hiring offers, buyouts, guarantees, cash flow advances, and related compensation programs.
  • Conducts compensation analyses utilizing internal data, market benchmarks, and established compensation methodologies to support decision-making.
  • Prepares analyses, recommendations, and supporting materials for review by Compensation leadership and Senior Consultants.
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, managers, and employees to address compensation-related questions and requests.
  • Administers and supports compensation programs, policies, processes, and governance activities, ensuring consistency and adherence to established guidelines.
  • Supports annual compensation planning through reporting, analysis, modeling, testing, and process coordination.
  • Maintains market data, benchmarking information, compensation structures, and related compensation tools and systems.
  • Owns compensation knowledge management processes, including development and maintenance of documentation, FAQs, guidance materials, decision frameworks, and operating procedures to support consistency, scalability, and continuity across compensation activities.
  • Maintains knowledge of compensation programs, policies, practices, and historical decisions to ensure consistent application of compensation guidelines.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve compensation processes, reporting, workflows, and documentation to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Manages compensation projects and work assignments, coordinating activities, stakeholders, and timelines to ensure successful execution.
  • Maintains knowledge of compensation regulations, market practices, and industry trends to support sound compensation recommendations.
