About The Position

Responsible for providing support for day-to-day compensation operations. Perform various activities including conducting basic compensation research; reviewing and processing requests in Human Capital Management (HCM) system, HCM system standardization, and maintenance; and administration of various compensation programs. Provides service and support to internal customers with regards to compensation policies and practices, regulatory compliance, and HCM functionality. Takes proactive ownership for periodic compensation reports and metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4 years job related work experience or Associate's and 2 years job related work experience
  • 2 years work experience, or a master's degree in human resources or business administration.
  • Excellent judgment with ability to make objective business decisions.
  • Excellent quantitative/analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong organizational, customer service, presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude towards research.
  • Process-oriented thinker.
  • Quick learner.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
  • Working knowledge of compensation systems, planning, and wage and hour laws.
  • Working knowledge of FLSA exemption classifications, job evaluation methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of principles of wage and salary administration along with market pricing.
  • Microsoft Office.
  • Experience creating or ability to learn pivot tables and formulas.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in maintenance of company's Human Capital Management system.
  • Ensures data integrity of the system, job description files, and other salary administration resources, and participates in process improvement initiatives to streamline work and improve customer service.
  • Reviews and processes requests in HCM system and Compensation Inbox.
  • Collaboration and consultation with generalists and management to enhance understanding of compensation policies and processes.
  • Reviews and reconciles scheduled and ad hoc reports to include salaries, job profiles, grade profiles, compensation plans, incentive plans, promotional increases, etc.
  • Participates in compensation projects.
  • Participates in salary surveys conducted by third-party survey providers.
  • Analyzes survey data and prepares supporting documentation.
