Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to calculate feed requirements, manage and weigh birds, prioritize work schedules, and troubleshoot issues related to bird growth and performance.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation with 24-hour availability as needed.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Poultry Science or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in live production management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all aspects of company-owned and operated farms, including employee management, safety, maintenance, production, and overall farm operations.
  • Recruit, hire, and retain staff, including supervisors, farm leads, and hourly employees.
  • Develop and maintain employee work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and operational efficiency.
  • Coach, train, and develop employees to meet and exceed company expectations and performance standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all biosecurity, strain security, animal welfare, and human health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal and external maintenance personel to ensure proper equipment functionality and facility upkeep.
  • Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve operational goals.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with management regarding farm performance and operational needs.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.
