About The Position

Two River Theater is seeking a Company Manager to join the Production department. The Company Manager supports Two River Theater's Artist Care initiatives in collaboration with the Producing team in all aspects pertaining to the logistics and experience of the guest artists and related contractors for each production. The Company Manager works as a member of the Production Management and Artist Care team, and reports to the Associate Production Manager, Artist Care. Working hours are based on the rehearsal and performance schedule of the mainstage shows. When we are not in a production period, working hours are generally Monday-Friday, 10AM-6PM, with some availability needed on a limited number of weeknights and/or weekends for presence at events.

Requirements

  • At least three years of professional experience in company, production, or stage management.
  • Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to exhibit tact, grace and discretion in stressful or sensitive situations.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
  • Must have a clean driving record and maintain a valid drivers’ license.
  • Ability to drive company vehicles including a large cargo van.
  • Required to reside within a 10-mile radius of Two River Theater.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for guest artists.
  • Share on-call responsibilities for guest artists during their residency. Responsibilities will require CM to maintain a 10-mile radius while on call.
  • Coordinate travel and housing for guest artists, and additional staff as needed.
  • Onboard, monitor, and respond to housing and hospitality needs.
  • Administer apartment keys and building access cards to designated personnel as well as coordinating building access card activation and termination.
  • Lead and conduct apartment and housing turnovers, cleanings, and laundry for over 17 properties between housing engagements, ensuring spaces are prepared for move-in and meet union standards, when required.
  • Track expenses and submit receipts for housing, streaming services, internet, and utilities.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining vendor relationships, including cleaning services as well as local eateries and businesses.
  • Monitor the general upkeep of all company housing, centering comfort, accessibility, and functionality. This includes sourcing and replacing furniture, appliances, and home goods.
  • Maintain communication with landlords and coordinate maintenance requests.
  • Drive and manage company vehicles, including the coordination of regular vehicle maintenance.
  • Facilitate grocery store trips and other transportation needs for artists.
  • Track and process complimentary ticket requests for artists.
  • Generate and maintain tracking documents for cross-departmental communication.
  • Act as a key member of the Production Management Office, supporting production team logistics and staffing coordination.
  • Create purchase orders and maintain stock of company management and production hospitality supplies.
  • Coordinate and purchase tech dinners, tech snacks, and other artist meal events.
  • Administer petty cash, reimbursements, and other financial matters for artists.
  • Assist the General Manager with contracts for actors, designers, creatives, and other show-related artists.
  • Assist the General Manager with artist onboarding, payroll, administering paychecks, and union reporting.
  • All other duties as assigned.
