About The Position

Companions offer one on one assistance with senior clients assisting them with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, transfer assist, feeding, pericare etc.) as well as non-clinical assistance, supervision, companionship and support. The Companion provides generalized attention to the needs of clients and are responsible for ensuring a safe, clean environment and observing any changes in the client's needs. Nestled on 117 wooded and beautifully landscaped acres, in Covington, Christwood is considered the Northshore's Premier Retirement Community and is dedicated to expanding the possibilities and making life better for older adults in every way. Our not-for-profit Life Plan Community offers independent and assisted living as well as cognitive memory care, skilled nursing and rehabilitative care. Requirements

Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant
Must be able to work twelve-hour shifts
Available to work some weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

CNA license preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Offer one on one assistance with senior clients assisting them with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, transfer assist, feeding, pericare etc.)
Provide non-clinical assistance, supervision, companionship and support.
Provide generalized attention to the needs of clients.
Ensure a safe, clean environment.
Observe any changes in the client's needs.
Work with clients who may have animals present in their homes (dogs and cats).
