About The Position
Companion Wellness Specialist Pay rate will be $14.50 per hour Full or part-time opportunities available Be a Comfort. Be a Companion. We are looking for Companion Care Specialist who genuinely enjoy helping others feel supported, respected, and never alone. In this role, you'll provide non-medical care such as homemaking, companionship, and respite services to individuals with disabilities, special needs, and older adults-helping them remain safe and comfortable in their homes while giving families peace of mind.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive your personal vehicle, as required to drive for program related business
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a homemaker, companion, caregiver, or respite worker preferred
- Experience working with older adults, individuals with disabilities, or special needs is a plus
- A caring heart, dependable nature, and strong communication skills
- Ability to respect client preferences, privacy, and independence
Responsibilities
- Provide warm companionship, conversation, and emotional support
- Offer respite care to give families and caregivers a break
- Assist with light housekeeping (laundry, tidying, cleaning living spaces)
- Help with meal preparation and light cooking
- Support daily routines and meaningful activities
- Run errands or assist with shopping as assigned
- Observe and report any changes or concerns
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment
- Treat every client with dignity, patience, and kindness
