About The Position

This role involves providing non-medical care such as homemaking, companionship, and respite services to individuals with disabilities, special needs, and older adults. The primary goal is to help clients remain safe and comfortable in their homes while offering peace of mind to their families. The position emphasizes presence, kindness, and emotional support, and does not require hands-on nursing or clinical care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A caring heart, dependable nature, and strong communication skills
• Ability to respect client preferences, privacy, and independence
• Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive your personal vehicle, as required to drive for program related business

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a homemaker, companion, caregiver, or respite worker preferred
• Experience working with older adults, individuals with disabilities, or special needs is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide warm companionship, conversation, and emotional support
• Offer respite care to give families and caregivers a break
• Assist with light housekeeping (laundry, tidying, cleaning living spaces)
• Help with meal preparation and light cooking
• Support daily routines and meaningful activities
• Run errands or assist with shopping as assigned
• Observe and report any changes or concerns
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment
• Treat every client with dignity, patience, and kindness
