Companion Caregiver - No Certification Required
About The Position
The Senior Company is looking for compassionate, dependable Companion Caregivers to provide friendship and everyday support to seniors throughout Somerset County, NJ. No certification or caregiving license is required—just a caring heart and a desire to make a difference. Whether you enjoy chatting over a cup of coffee, playing games, taking walks, preparing a simple meal, or simply being a friendly face, our clients would love to meet you. Our companion clients receive care in private homes, assisted living communities, rehabilitation facilities, and hospitals throughout Somerset County.
Requirements
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to pass a background check
Nice To Haves
- Previous caregiving, hospitality, customer service, or companion experience is a plus—but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and meaningful conversation
- Accompany clients on walks or outings
- Play cards, games, or participate in hobbies
- Prepare simple meals and snacks
- Assist with light housekeeping and laundry
- Run errands or accompany clients to appointments (when applicable)
- Offer encouragement, emotional support, and a friendly presence
