Companion and Personal Caregiver
About The Position
CareOne Senior Care is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide quality non-medical in-home care to seniors in Novi, West Bloomfield, and nearby Oakland County communities. Caregivers support clients in maintaining their routines, receiving assistance with daily activities, and enjoying companionship in a familiar environment. Assistance is based on each client’s individual needs and assigned care plan, and may include companion care, personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and other everyday support. The role emphasizes client comfort, safety, dignity, independence, privacy, and confidentiality. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be reliable, patient, and respectful.
- Must be willing to complete required background screening and TB testing.
- Must complete onboarding and required training.
- Must be able to follow instructions and communicate professionally.
- A valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and auto insurance are required when transportation is part of the assignment.

- Previous caregiving or companion care experience is helpful.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and meaningful conversation.
- Help clients participate in appropriate activities and hobbies.
- Assist with daily routines and activities of daily living as assigned.
- Prepare meals and snacks.
- Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization.
- Provide reminders and encouragement as outlined in the care plan.
- Assist with walking and mobility when required and within training.
- Support client comfort, safety, dignity, and independence.
- Follow client care plans and CareOne Senior Care procedures.
- Report concerns or changes in client needs to the office.
- Maintain professional communication with clients, families, and coworkers.
- Protect client privacy and confidentiality.

- $15–$17 per hour for regular assignments; select specialty assignments pay up to $22.50 per hour.
