About The Position

Companion Aide — Full-Time Day Shift (8:30 AM – 2:30 PM) Teaneck, NJ. Join a Team That Values the Heart of Caregiving. Our caregivers do more than provide assistance—they build meaningful relationships that help seniors feel safe, respected, and supported in the comfort of their own homes. We are currently looking for a compassionate, dependable Companion Aide to support a client in Teaneck, NJ. This is a full-time daily position, working 6 hours per day, from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. If you enjoy spending time with seniors, providing companionship, and helping them maintain their independence, we would love to hear from you!

Requirements

Previous caregiving or companion care experience is preferred.
Reliable transportation to the client's location in Teaneck, NJ.
Compassionate, patient, professional, and dependable demeanor.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to provide companionship and assist with light household tasks.
Must meet all applicable New Jersey employment requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide warm companionship, conversation, and emotional support.
Engage clients in enjoyable activities, hobbies, and meaningful daily routines.
Assist with light housekeeping to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
Help with meal preparation and light kitchen tasks.
Accompany clients on walks, errands, or appointments as needed.
Encourage independence, dignity, and quality of life at home.
Provide non-medical support based on the client's needs and care plan.
