Requirements

High school diploma/certificate or equivalent.
3-5 years of related experience.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the local language.
Ability to read and comprehend technical data/service manuals.
Ability to write legibly.
Ability to lift a minimum of 70 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to perform repetitive bending tasks.
Ability to achieve required torque specifications per manufacturer's repair procedures.
Basic keyboarding skills.
Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
Frequently lift, carry, push, pull and /or otherwise move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Must operate equipment in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, remove, install, replace, re-build, repair, and test parts/equipment on construction equipment.
Use miscellaneous resources and computers to reference parts, get information about parts, and enter data into record systems.
Disassemble/re-assemble parts or equipment using tools; clean parts with rags, cleaners, and power washers.
Use test equipment to make diagnostic checks and control powered equipment or tools to make repairs.
Climb onto, under, and into vehicles to gain access to all parts of the vehicle.
Use overhead hoists, lift devices, forklifts, and other aids to move items off vehicles and to locations for disassembly, repair, and reassembly.
Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, change oil, replace filters, belts, and coolants, and may drain/clean/refill fuel systems.
Use welders to weld frames and wear strips, then use power grinders to smooth welds.
Lift/carry and position rams to remove idlers, unbolt idlers, and remove them with an overhead crane.
Use power washers and spray paint equipment to clean and paint vehicles.
Use instruments and computers to reprogram equipment controllers.
Other duties as assigned.
