About The Position

This position is for a Comp Food Server - Breakfast Attendant at a modern Hyatt House and Hyatt Place co-located property in downtown Tampa. The hotel has 230 rooms and 2,299 sq. ft. of meeting/event space, offering amenities such as pet-friendly accommodations, free breakfast for members, a Peloton-equipped fitness center, and onsite dining. The role involves ensuring Hyatt branded buffet standards are met, managing guest check-ins for breakfast using a Hyatt iPad, serving beverages, answering guest questions, and providing the highest level of service in accordance with Hyatt Hospitality standards. The position also requires maintaining knowledge of menus and products, completing side work, reporting to work on time and in uniform, ensuring sanitation and proper food handling, preparing work areas, identifying and reporting safety hazards, and wearing a neat uniform with a nametag. The role reports to the Asst. F&B Manager or AGM.

  • Report to work as scheduled, in uniform, and ready to be in position.
  • Wear uniform neatly pressed and cleaned. Nametag must always be worn.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests with enthusiasm and friendliness.
  • Ensure Hyatt branded buffet is up to standards each day inclusive of signage, food, and stocking of goods.
  • Utilization of Hyatt iPad to ensure that guests are checked-in for breakfast appropriately.
  • Ensuring that non-eligible guests are charged appropriately for breakfast when applicable.
  • Serve beverages in an appropriate manner consistent with company standards.
  • Answer guest questions about food, beverages, and our facilities accurately and in a friendly manner.
  • Provide the highest level of service in accordance with Hyatt Hospitality standards.
  • Maintain full knowledge of menus, recipes, and other pertinent information.
  • Constantly increase knowledge of food, beverages, and other products and services.
  • Complete side work during non-busy hours.
  • Report to work as scheduled, in uniform, and ready to be in position.
  • Responsible for constant sanitation, organization, and proper food handling.
  • Prepare work areas for opening, mid-shift, or closing in accordance with company standards.
  • Watch for safety hazards and report them immediately to any Manager.
  • Wear uniform neatly pressed and cleaned. Nametag must always be worn.
  • Report to Asst. F&B Manager, or AGM before leaving for the day to ensure no additional task need to be assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
