This position is within a residential program for individuals experiencing homelessness, with a focus on maintaining a safe environment. The role involves engaging individuals in an approachable and empathetic manner, performing rounds, and addressing their varied needs. The Community Technician will manage conflict or challenging behaviors with self-awareness, emphasizing safety and building trust while understanding each person's unique experience. Responsibilities include screening residents and visitors, creating written documentation (logbook entries, incident reports, progress notes), managing inventory, maintaining fire safety drills and logs, and providing emergency first aid/CPR assistance/NARCAN when needed. The role also involves assisting with inspections and audits, escorting clients, serving meals, and helping to maintain an orderly and clean facility. This position is subject to mandatory overtime.
