The Community Supports Manager supervises staff and leads their activities with supported individuals. This role involves scheduling staff to meet program needs, participating in the hiring process, providing coaching and feedback, and conducting performance reviews. The manager is responsible for training staff on various aspects including supported individuals, program activities, company procedures, and DDS regulations. They also handle staff disciplinary actions with appropriate approvals, approve and audit staff timesheets, and meet with customers, providers, and staff. The position requires responding to emergencies, assisting supported individuals in achieving personal goals, and working to overcome barriers while respecting individual beliefs and choices. The Community Supports Manager must be familiar with and abide by company, agency, and program policies and procedures, acting in a manner consistent with organizational values, mission, and goals. They are expected to be an active, contributing, and problem-solving member of the team, attending mandatory staff meetings and trainings. Travel is required, and other job duties may be assigned.
