This is a permanent part-time position located in SE Calgary, with working days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 08:30-15:00, totaling 21.0 hours per week. A vehicle is required for this position. The Calgary Alternative Day Options (CADO) program is a community-based day program serving adults with disabilities, occurring in inclusive settings that allow natural interaction with a variety of people. Clients can choose to engage in self-employment, volunteering, recreation & leisure, with support to set goals, develop new skills, and create natural supports within the community. The Community Support Worker (CSW) is an essential role supporting clients to build a strong sense of empowerment, the ability to make positive decisions, help establish themselves as part of their community, and provide development and stability in their daily activities. This role is responsible for establishing professional boundaries, providing guidance regarding emotional support, daily living skills, and engaging with community resources based on the goals laid out in their Individual Support Plan (ISP).
