About The Position

PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES: Support frail older adults through a standardized exercise program distend to improve strength, balance, mobility and endurance (training provided) Encourage clients to complete exercises safely and to increase numbers of reps as they progress Support isolated older adults including those with memory impairment due to dementia or other health conditions through walks or in-home visits Participate in program evaluation QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Persons who are between 15 to 30 years of age are eligible Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations Currently enrolled in, or have completed post-secondary education in Kinesiology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or related program Experience working with older adults, including those with dementia Valid Ontario Driver’s License and insurance coverage in accordance with the company policy. Requirements
