About The Position
Universal MH/DD/SAS is hiring a compassionate and dependable Community Support Technician to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Catawba County. This position helps individuals participate in their communities, build daily living skills, and increase independence while receiving person-centered support.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Dependable, compassionate, and patient approach to supporting others
- Ability to work independently and maintain professional boundaries
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support in home and community settings
- Assist individuals with daily living tasks, routines, and personal goals
- Support community outings, social engagement, and meaningful activities
- Help individuals develop skills that promote independence, confidence, and quality of life
- Follow individualized support plans and maintain appropriate documentation as required
