About The Position

Appalachian Community Services provides Mental Health, Behavioral Health, Substance Use, and Developmental Disability services to individuals, families, and communities within the seven western counties of North Carolina. We provide a wide range of walk-in, psychiatric, substance abuse, and crisis services to adults and children. The Qualified Professional will provide superior customer service and quality home care, focus on managing coordination of client services and emergent scheduling issues, manage your Client Services Manager caseload while proactively growing it, build lasting relationships with clients, referral sources, payors and community organizations, develop strong, communicative relationships with the team, and maintain effective fiscal management of your caseload by monitoring metrics. Requirements

  • Bachelor degree is required
  • Must be a Qualified Professional, with at least 2 years of experience working with the community services or population served.
  • Demonstrated record of successfully taking on increased responsibility
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and quickly changing environment
  • Ambition to grow and advance beyond current position
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a field other than human services with 4 years experience working with the MH/SA/DD population to be served; or bachelor’s degree in human services with 2 years experience working with the population served.
  • QP (Qualified Professional) credential is required for this position.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory experience a plus
  • Minimum of four years of working experience in a child mental health setting preferred.
  • Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with care teams as needed
  • Maintain compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards
  • Participate in supervision (if applicable based on licensure level)
