The Community Support Specialist is a key frontline role that ensures the daily operations of the FVRC run safely, smoothly, and with resident success at the forefront. In this position, you will help create a structured, supportive environment that promotes positive reentry outcomes and community well‑being.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skill
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and provide daily transportation for residents to and from employment sites, medical appointments, and other program‑approved activities.
  • Conduct wellness and accountability checks at resident workplaces.
  • Manage resident check‑ins and check‑outs in accordance with facility policy.
  • Perform routine room, facility and Resident Offender searches to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Answer and route incoming calls with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Staff the front desk and maintain a secure, welcoming reception area.
  • Support general facility operations and contribute to program objectives as needed.
