About The Position

Keystone Autism Services is currently seeking a Community Support and Employment Professional to join our team by providing individualized and person-directed support. Our work focuses on inclusion and building communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and fully participate in everything society has to offer. As a Community Support and Employment Professional you will teach, coach, and empower individuals with autism so they can pursue meaningful opportunities, make informed life choices, and participate as valued members of their communities. This person serves as a positive role model, providing individualized support that helps each person build an “everyday life” — meeting new people, forming friendships, finding and maintaining employment, exercising personal choice, strengthening daily living skills, and achieving personal goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • One of the following: A Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) credential from Association of People Supporting Employment (APSE); or A Basic Employment Services Certificate of Achievement or a Professional Certificate of Achievement in Employment Services from an Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) organizational member that has ACRE-approved training, or Achieve certification within nine (9) months of hire
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle
  • Use of personal vehicle to transport individuals within the community
  • Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including clearances and verifications

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Work experience in the human services field preferred
