What You Offer: Ideally, you have extensive experience working with children, youth and young adults or vulnerable individuals in a health care setting, school, or home setting. You have experience and are confident in supporting individuals who may exhibit behaviours that limit their ability to access or participate in community. You have experience and are confident in providing personal care and medical care needs. The Position: This is a part-time permanent. The position focuses on delivering engaging, meaningful programming that fosters genuine relationships and a strong sense of belonging among participants. The program runs Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. This position is located in Erin Ridge, St. Albert. The Community Specialist II (CS II) will be reporting to the assigned Program Supervisor. The CS II is a highly experienced direct support role, typically relating to more complex and specialized situations, behaviours, or environments. They work front-line and are pivotal to the creation of a safe, caring, and community-enriched life for the individuals and families who hire us. Thoughtful programming planning and implementation support participants to connect with their communities – establishing real relationships and creating meaningful days and lives. The conscientious CSII will act with integrity, be open to growth, live our purpose, cultivate teamwork, and put forth an extraordinary effort to empower people with disabilities and their families to grow, succeed, and belong.
