About The Position

The Community Services Specialist (CSS) works cooperatively to provide consistent, quality programming and addresses the physical, health and behavioral needs of clients. Provides direct support and mentoring, being actively engaged with clients, in programming as outlined in the personal plan, in either a group setting or alone. Ensures clients are safe and healthy and responsible for providing direct care to clients as outlined in a daily schedule. Support given will follow specific goals and objectives of each client.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Missouri driver's license or comparable out of state license.
• Current vehicle insurance.
• Maintains safe driving record.
• Must have a clean, reliable, working vehicle with enough fuel to meet clients' transportation needs.
• Willing to use personal vehicle for client transportation if needed.
• Ability to do basic math.
• Legible handwriting and professional grammar skills.
• Must be available to work weekdays.
• Must be able to attend staff meetings that are conducted after program hours.
• Requires Advanced Mandt and Tools of Choice training.
• Maintains current certifications on Annual Recertification, autism specific training, and other trainings as required.

Nice To Haves

• College credit in human service or related field preferred.
• 1 year's experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities with behavior disorders who have active, involved behavioral support plans preferred.
