The Community Services Department is currently hiring part-time Community Services Leaders to join the event and rentals team at The Victoria Gardens Cultural Center. These positions are dedicated to ensuring that every individual who enters our doors feels welcomed and valued. By providing intentional and sincere service and hospitality, our team members are committed to fostering a hospitable, generous environment that reflects the values of the City of Rancho Cucamonga’s Community Services Department. The Lewis Family Playhouse is an intimate, state-of-the-art performing arts center with 560 seats owned and operated by the City of Rancho Cucamonga. In addition to the Lewis Family Playhouse, the Victoria Gardens Cultural Center includes a 60-seat Black Box theatre, large-scale event spaces, and a newly opened outdoor courtyard stage! The Community Services Department operates the Epicenter Sports Complex, RC Family Resource Center, RC Sports Center, Victoria Gardens Cultural Center, Goldy S. Lewis Community Center, and James L. Brulte Senior Center. In addition to the above-listed facilities, more than 30 different parks are open to the community for passive use. Successful candidates will embody our core values and have a passion for carrying out the department’s Mission and Vision to meet the City Council’s goal of ensuring and advancing the quality of life for the community through inclusive decision-making. The Community Services Department (CSD) offers a diverse range of programs for the community, including youth summer camps, youth sports, contracted classes, and several large special events. In addition to these events, CSD oversees the daily operations of several city facilities and parks to provide high-quality passive spaces for the community to gather. Community Services Leaders who apply to this post will be assigned to The Victoria Gardens Cultural Center. This role will greet guests with a warm, friendly demeanor, offering assistance and answering questions when asked. Community Services Leaders will work to anticipate the needs of our patrons and clients, taking initiative to ensure that everyone has an exceptional experience while hosting or attending an event in one of our spaces. Community Services Leaders will assist with setup and teardown, monitoring private rentals in Celebration Hall, Lewis Family Playhouse, Mainstreet Lobby, Black Box, and the Courtyard. Community Services Leaders must be comfortable speaking with clients and patrons to understand event needs and solve challenges.
