About The Position

FSRI is seeking candidates who want to make a positive impact on the community. The Community Services Clinician provides trauma-focused diagnostic assessments and enhanced evidence-based services for children, youth, and their caregivers in the community and office. This role utilizes evidence-based practices such as Trauma Systems Therapy (TST), Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). The clinician collaborates with case managers, the psychiatric team, and other service providers to ensure optimal client care and provides emergency crisis intervention/assessment as needed. The position functions as part of a trauma-focused multidisciplinary team, implementing evidence-based practices with fidelity.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in human services (psychology, social work, marriage/family, etc.) required
  • Required to be licensed or eligible to be licensed in Rhode Island as a Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist or Mental Health Counselor
  • Skilled in operating various medical record software and hardware, word-processing, and database software programs
  • Excellent multitasking and communication skills a must
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team
  • Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, registration and auto insurance
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Travel to and from clients’ residence, community locations and office site, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators
  • Must be able to work remotely and in person adhering to PHI requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with children exposed to trauma preferred
  • Spanish Speaking preferred and is compensated
  • Bilingual/ASL skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.
  • Multilingual skills are compensated by an additional 8%, above base pay.
