About The Position

The City of Berkeley invites applications for the position of Community Services Aide in the Health, Housing & Community Services Department. This role supports community center staff by assisting with various tasks, including receiving, handling, and delivering catered meals to specific locations or homebound residents. The position also involves aiding with program activities and facility rentals to ensure continuous service to community members and program participants. This is a temporary, non-benefited position, not to exceed 19 hours per week.

Requirements

• Equivalent to completion of high school.
• Twelve (12) months of experience in meal preparation, delivery services, or working with adults of varied ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
• Must be able to travel to various locations within and outside the City of Berkeley to meet program needs and fulfill job responsibilities.
• Must possess and maintain a valid California driver's license and satisfactory driving record when driving on City business.
• Must report changes in driver's license status.
