About The Position

Cultivate Initiatives is a group dedicated to empowering individuals and communities on the margins through an inclusive range of initiatives and support. They build communities from the inside out by focusing on workforce development, housing and homemaking, and supportive sheltering.

Requirements

Current and valid driver’s license.
Ability to be physically present at the CI Workforce Hub from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM on assigned days, including the 8:30 AM and 4:15 PM debriefs, unless otherwise approved by supervisor.
Ability to perform manual labor requiring the full range of body movement.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
Ability to perform repetitive movements of the wrist, hands, or fingers due to continuous use of computer keyboards and other office equipment.
Ability to climb stairs, bend, stoop, push and pull, and spend four or more hours standing at a time.

Responsibilities

Engage and build relationships with unhoused neighbors to determine their needs.
Connect unhoused neighbors to resources both within and outside of Cultivate Initiatives.
Conduct regular outreach alongside Community Beautification team members.
Collaborate with specialists across initiatives to find resources and meet the needs of individuals on the caseload.
Utilize the organizational database to track the caseload of individuals’ needs and supports.
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of resources and connections to organizations in the area that can provide services to unhoused neighbors, including shelter, legal support, mental and physical health care, food, and recovery.
Manage an inventory of outreach supplies and support the Health & Hygiene team with inventory and donation maintenance.
Practice clear and professional communication with co-workers.
Work collaboratively with co-workers to ensure the success of the program.
Accept and use the tools, instructions, and feedback given by the program manager, including apps on your cell phone or mobile device.
Represent Cultivate Initiatives to various partners and community members.
Follow all safety and OSHA guidelines.
Participate in meetings and trainings.
May perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
