About The Position

This full-time Community Resource Specialist position combines field-based delivery routes with behind-the-scenes coordination, featuring a consistent weekday schedule with an early release every Friday. The role involves preparing and delivering resource packets, food bags, and essential household items directly to clients' homes, while collaborating with the Process of Care Department and Case Managers to ensure families receive necessary support. This position is ideal for organized, dependable individuals who enjoy movement, independent work, and making a tangible difference for children and families. It also serves as a strong entry point for those studying or building careers in psychology, nursing, counseling, or behavioral health.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout the assigned service area.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and comfort learning new technology platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to maintain professional boundaries.

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Completion of a related health education certification.
  • Completion of the first semester of an associate or bachelor's degree program in psychology, nursing, counseling, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Experience in behavioral health, social services, or community-based programs.
  • Familiarity with Power Automate or Canva.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support the weekly distribution of resource packets, food bags, and resource bags.
  • Prepare materials for delivery by printing and organizing resource packets, creating recipe cards, purchasing supplies, and assembling bags.
  • Deliver resources directly to clients' homes using a company vehicle, typically 3–4 routes per week lasting about 3–4 hours each.
  • Ensure every distribution is organized, accurate, and completed on time.
  • Complete accurate, detailed, and timely documentation while managing a high volume of notes.
  • Utilize Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint), Power Automate, and Canva to support communication, tracking, and program activities.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Process of Care Department and Case Managers regarding client needs and service coordination.
  • Participate in trainings, supervision sessions, staff and collaboration meetings, and monthly one-on-ones with your supervisor.
