About The Position

This Navigator role will support the Child Care Business Development Program. The position will be approximately 15 to 20 hours per week, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet client needs. Community and cultural competency are recommended. Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED and 6 months related experience.
  • Ability to communicate successfully in English and at least one other language to meet the needs of populations served.
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record.
  • Ability to pass an extensive background check including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, Sex Offender registry and a criminal history check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support services to LSI clients.
  • Assist clients in overcoming language and cultural differences and reducing barriers to work towards community integration and self sufficiency.
  • Use bilingual or multilingual skills to facilitate support clients in educational activities and workshops in order to maximize clients' understanding and utilization of LSI services and community resources.
  • Communicate information to clients from educational classes, appointments, and paperwork.
  • Work with community partners, volunteers, and other LSI staff to ensure high quality services to clients in a plan of action that supports client goals.
